This is the website of the Local History Society of the village of Kingston in the South Hams district of Devon, England.

 

Annual subscriptions are £3.50 per person for entry to all events.

Nigel Grist, local historian and Modbury resident, will give a detailed look at the surviving sites from the Bronze Age; also exploring the ancient Tin Mining industry on Dartmoor.

 

Thursday March 22nd at 7:30pm

John Gibson, joint owner of Thorn House, Wembury- overlooking the banks of the River Yealm with a historical garden created by William Arkwright - will take us back through the history of the estate with a talk entitled “A thousand years at Thorn”
