You have probably heard that the village has a new History Hub and Museum – in The Stone Barn opposite the fire station in the centre of the village (see previous post).
It’s run by the Kingston Local History Society, and is our base for research and archiving activity. It’s also open on Wednesday afternoons (and at other times by prior appointment), so visitors can see what’s going on and peruse the contents of the museum.
KLHS is looking for volunteers to assist us in the Hub. If you can spare an hour a week you could help with the ongoing task of cataloguing our archive and staffing the Hub for visitors.
